What is the best and safest treatment for newborn acne? I am not scrubbing or using harsh abrasives, just warm water and a wash cloth.Treatment for newborn acne for a 2 month old?
From what I read that is the best thing to do... and dont pick at it... just makes it worse.. it will go away on its own.Treatment for newborn acne for a 2 month old?
It's hormonal and natural for your newborn to get a breakout. There is not much you can do except cleanse your baby's face gently with a wash cloth and warm water as you described (no soap or baby wash). It will go away on it's own in a few weeks. If you are concerned, call your nurse or baby's pediatrician. Congratulations on your healthy baby!
I know it sounds way gross but really, the baby's own urine will help clear the acne. Remember the saying ';Smooth as a baby's butt';? Yep it will help you get to the bottom of this. Pun intended. Wipe baby's face and any other affected area with urine diaper wait a few minutes and then wash.
My grandmother used this on my uncle who had eczema as a baby and it worked! The properties of urine are exfoliating. Truthfully some adults use this method as well to keep a youthful appearance to their face.
Good Luck to you and your little one.
I've heard that breastmilk will help - just rub a bit onto the affected areas a few times a day.
Nothing... it is a hormonal thing- your hormones are still passing through your babies body. This will all clear up on its own. Just use warm water and washcloth/cotton balls. No soap or lotions are necessary.
My doc suggested washing his with Cetafil. It's a non-soap cleanser.
Just leave it.
Time is the best treatment. Nothing else. It's a normal thing that will go away on it's own, trying to get to get rid of it will only make it worse.
nothing!! leave it alone it will go away.
Nothing-it will resolve itself in a month or so. My daughter had it awful-it was all over her face. But it's all cleared up now and she's 10 months. It started going away around 3 months.
warm water+ wash cloth is probably the best thing. I wouldn't use any creams or anything.
Wait. Hydrocortozone...I'm not sure if that's ok for babies. But it might be a good thing. I'd ask a doctor.
