Is toothpaste really effective in acne spot treatment?

I have a huge date tomorrow and Im all broken out, will toothpaste really help to dry out my breakouts? Is toothpaste really effective in acne spot treatment?
Not if you have more than just a few spots.

Toothpaste tends to dry your acne out, that is why

it works. DO NOT put it all over your face though, because

again, it dries it all out, and you'll be super red.

For spot treatment I put Noxzema on the spots just before

bed and in the morning they can either be poped or are

gone. Just be sure to wash your face in the morning and

several times through the day tomorrow, and don't touch your

face either, that spreads oils.

Good Luck! (:Is toothpaste really effective in acne spot treatment?
Toothpaste is kind of an old wives tale... some people claim it works, but it's usually more irritating than beneficial. With your skin concerns, toothpaste is just a bad idea. It's supposed to dry out acne, but any over the counter zit cream will do the same thing, with less irritation.

No amount of makeup looks better than good skin and no makeup. You can't cure acne but you can control it, and a dermatologist is your first step. If you've already been to one and have no luck, get a second opinion. No one has to ';outgrow'; or live with acne.

Also you need patience (not saying you don't have any) but keep in mind that with every new regimen it can take up to 6 weeks to see any results, and often acne gets worse before it gets better. Good luck :)
Not quite; it just dries the pimple out, if that.

What I use to prevent/treat acne is Clinique clarifying lotion. It's a little spendy, but pale in comparison to the higher-end products like ProActiv, and works wonders for my skin. At the Clinique counter, you can also choose which clarifying lotion system to buy based on your skin type. It works pretty fast too, since it has a hefty amount of alcohol in it.

Have fun on your date, I'm sure he'll think you're beautiful!
Flip the tube over does it say use it on acne ? No.

It is not effective. If anyone has used it with success has gotten lucky. There are plenty of folks that return here severely burned from trying it.

Take some acne wash, and acne cream.

Do it before bed, in the morning and before your date.
No! Try rubbing alcohol if they need drying out.
