i use an acne cream that drys up my face. do i use moisturizer while using this or do i use it before or after i apply the treatmentDo you use moisturizer before or after using acne treatment?
If your skin is naturally oily you do not need a moisturizer. If your acne cream is making your face red and dry you need to stop using it because it's not working if it is irritating your skin.
If you have naturally dry skin get a moisturizer like Olay Anti-wrinkle anti blemish or Clean and Clear Soft Day and it will help solve both problems at once.
I always apply my acne stuff at night and I do not put a moisturizer over it or under it. I apply my moisturizer in the morning and do not use acne medication at that time.
You might need a more gentle acne solution, try The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil and their Tea Tree Toner, they work great and are gentle.
Edit - Oily skin does not need a moisturizer, anyone in the cosmetics industry (who has not been brainwashed by companies who want you to buy their expensive moisturizer will agree). While ingredients like antioxidants are very good for your skin you DO NOT need a moisturizer to get these ingredients onto your skin, many toners contain these ingredients. Applying a moisturizer will not stop your skin from making oil, some people naturally produce more, oil your skin does not do this as a reaction to lack of moisturizer, if that were true none of us would have oily skin anymore.
Here's a page out of The Beauty Bible by Paula Begoun while I do not always agree with her she is considered the LEADING expert on cosmetics and the cosmetics industry including skin care

She clearly states here you do not need a moisturizer if you have oily or acne prone skin.
BTW the ingredient that makes proactiv effective can be found in higher concentrations in many products that are less than half the price.Do you use moisturizer before or after using acne treatment?

Well, it's kind of obvious.
If the acne cream DRYS up your face, you use moisturizer after you apply this acne cream of yours.
after is better otherwiser it get rubed into the skin and creates issues...

After. I tend to wash my face in the shower, and then moisturize right when I get out. Use an anti-acne moisturizer (clean and clear makes a really good one!) and use enough to cover your face. Then, if you need more, use the same amount over again. Once your face is covered, use your towel to wipe off the excess so that your face doesn't feel oily and so you keep your face acne-free. Good luck!
you should use moisturizer after you apply the treatment, but make sure your moisturizer is oil free.
You need to restore the skins PH balance after washing your face. I don't know what products you're using but the correct steps are
1) Cleanse %26amp; Rinse
2) Tone
3) Moisturize
Lots of acne cleansers really dry out the skin which is good and bad. It takes out all the oils %26amp; bacteria causing acne, yet it sucks the moisture from your skin. So use a moisturizer afterwards but put it on lightly if your fighting acne.
Use moisturizer right after applying your acne treatment. I'm on an acne regimen too (Proactiv) and I always apply my moisturizer after using the three steps. Also, don't listen to the person who said oily skinned people don't need moisturizers -- we do, especially if we're on acne regimens that have drying ingredients. Oily skin often means your skin is dehydrated, and creating more oil to compensate for it. By applying moisturizer, everything goes back into balance. It really makes a huge difference. :)
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
