Whats the best acne treatment youve used?

Proactiv is way to harsh on the face, I get a break out or two a month, but still its annoying. Have you discovered something that COMLETELY eliminates breakouts? I realise different things work for different people, but I still wanna know what you guys think?Whats the best acne treatment youve used?
Its called Clear Advantage, and you can get it here. Click shop online and you will find it. It even comes with vitamins to help your skin from the inside. Works great!!

http://cassieanderson.myarbonne.comWhats the best acne treatment youve used?
Proactive.

...but it's anything but cheap.
Differin!
pan oxyl 5.5.

But only pescribed by a doctor!
Biore works best for me. I use the ice cleanser, along with the acne scrub (2-3 times/week)

I also use a re-balancing moisturizer, so it doesn't break me out.

Also, if you're looking for solutions beyond cleansers, birth control helps a lot of women with their acne...but beware, if you decide to go off of it, you might end up with worse acne than you started with.
Well, i used proactiv but it was actually too harsh for my skin also. I tried the generic form, called AcneFree (you can get it at WalMart) and used it straight for two weeks. It was great, and wasn't too harsh. It cleared up the places that needed it, without drying out the places that were already healthy. Now, i only get MAYBE a pimple or two ever month. You have to keep using it to keep from getting the acne after it clears up though.
I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer over thirty times. Usually, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it (a washcloth, sponge, or anything that will allow you to apply moist heat to the area), and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, rinse it with warm water, blot off the excess water with a clean towel, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.

Here are some of the previous comments I cut and pasted from those who voted it as the best answer, (Copied and pasted as written. Capital letters seen are as originally answered)

In my personal opinion and experience, the only way to rid yourself from acne completely is to see a doctor. Topicals can only do so much and rarely completely ';eliminate'; breakouts.

The only for sure way to COMPLETELY rid yourself of breakouts is probably Accutane. It is harsh and complicated to take however, and your dermatologist will not easily prescribe it. I have heard many stories of people taking it for a good course (6 months) and afterwards suffering few breakouts if any. If you are a girl it is even harder to have it prescribed to you.

Topical Retinoids such as Differin, Retin-A, and Tazorac also work very well in becoming breakout free, almost eliminating them. However, they need to be used for a while before they work and they tend to make your skin ';purge'; (look worse) before you get better. These you can get from a dermatologist or doctor.

Do not take Pro Activ if your skin is sensitive to it. Go to a doctor and talk about other options with him/her. Consider taking birth control if you are a girl. You may want to take antibiotics but i do not recommend them at all because they tend to not work and also affect your body over the long run.

If you REALLY want to get on Accutane however, get a referral to a dermatologist, and start seeing him/her. Say that everything has not worked and be very emotional. Exxagerate your situation. If you dont get Accutane the first time, you may have to wait a few visits.

Derms tend to prescribe you medications A-Z before resorting to Accutane which tends to be what finally works for a lot of people.

I am partial to Accutane. I understand its use and benefits and at the same time am aware of its side effects which can be severe and permanent (especially if you are a girl; girls tend to be in a worse situation when it comes to acne). You cannot get pregnant while on Accutane either. You have to actually sign a thing called iPledge stating that you swear not to get pregnant.
Aven Cleanac for mild cases and Tazaroten gel for more sever acne (as a night treatment)
Accutane or Retin A (available from a Dermatologist)
Diet..
I also found that Proactiv was too harsh for my face. . .however, it worked the best at fighting acne. I don't use all 3 products together everyday (the cleanser, toner, and lotion). I alternate so I don't dry the heck out of my face. I use the cleanser probably every other day and then once in awhile. . .(like during breakout time when i have my period) I will also use the lotion but just on the areas where I'm prone to breakouts.

I alternate using proactiv and then some other sort of store bought cleansers that are less harsh and give more moisutization to my face. . .like Oil of Olay. . .
Accutane.
I use Proactiv (it works well on me) but it does make my face all rough. I used to use Velocity from Mary Kay though. Never know, might be worth a shot.
Artistry Products.
i had to use acutane... it was harsh for a while, but i'm basically acne free now...
